We are currently hiring for an entry-level (0-4 years experience) Associate Consultant who will be based in our Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) offices.

We are currently looking to hire an Associate Consultant to provide support across our service areas in strategy, policy, and financial analysis and to assist with business development and administrative activities.
JOB TITLE AND COMPENSATION
Associate Consultant
$65,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with level of experience)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our team is seeking an entry- or near entry- level professional responsible for supporting work in the areas of planning, finance, economics, innovative project delivery, and strategic consulting in the field of infrastructure with focus on transportation, including public transit.
This Associate Consultant position will provide a support role on projects (~70% of time) in these areas, with key activities including research (e.g. Federal, state, and local datasets, technical reports), deliverable production (e.g. slide decks, memos, reports, financial models), and client coordination (e.g. scheduling, interviews, notetaking). This role will also provide administrative support (~10% of time) drafting firm LinkedIn posts, implementing firm website updates, setting up meeting logistics, and other general support duties as needed. The role will also gain exposure to business development by supporting the production of proposals (~20% of time). The position may include some travel to work at local project sites and will require client engagement for specific tasks.

Work focus may include the following types of services:
Assist public agencies with strategic planning, development of public private partnership (P3) programs, and innovative mobility services.
Identify federal, state, local, and private revenue sources.
Support development of financial plans, financial models, and financial strategies for multimodal transportation projects, programs, and plans.
Support development of federal and state grant and loan applications.
Work with private sector innovators to strategically position them to meet the public policy goals of and more effectively work with public agencies.
Support the research and development of strategic plans, business plans, policy documents, and a variety of planning-level assessments through research, analysis, best practice reviews, and document creation.
Participate in client interaction and business development.
Support the development of complete and competitive proposals to a variety of public and private clients by tailoring company resumes, project qualifications, and technical approach narratives to meet anticipated client needs.
Coordinate detailed data requests to project teaming partners and prospective clients to support compliant proposal submission.
Formulate recommendations, policies, or plans to aid in market interpretation or developing solutions to funding and policy issues.
Create visualizations and graphical analysis of data and findings.
Support the firm’s ongoing online presence by drafting LinkedIn posts, keeping the website up to date using Squarespace, and performing other general support duties as needed.
WORK LOCATION
InfraStrategies’ Los Angeles office is located in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA), adjacent to Metro Center rail lines and numerous bus routes. The selected candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles metropolitan area and willing to work from the DTLA office at least twice a week, typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS (Associate Consultant)
(Required) Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Finance, Civil Engineering, or similar
0-4 years experience in the services outlined in the job description
Exceptional writing skills across mediums and audiences
Exceptional verbal communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving client and firm needs across different time zones
A self-starter with a drive to learn new things and take on new challenges
A self-manager able to work independently and remotely to make progress on tasks and deliverables
A collaborative attitude and desire to achieve collective success
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Work or internship experience developing solutions to technical planning, policy, economic, finance, or engineering challenges
Experience using LinkedIn or other social media platforms to post regular, high-quality content
