The Rest of the Industrialized World has High-Speed Rail, Why Can't the U.S.?

In Europe and Asia, there are numerous high-speed rail (HSR) lines. For 2015, the U.S. High Speed Rail Association reported that there were 29,792 km (18,512 miles) of high-speed lines, 3,603 train sets in operation and 1.6 billion passengers traveling on those lines annually. Former FTA Administrator Carolyn Flowers

joins InfraStrategies as Principal

To say that the evolution of the US P3 market has been something of a slow burner over the past two decades would be an understatement.

However, despite perhaps taking what, at times, has seemed like the longest and bumpiest of routes possible, the market has made enormous strides in the past few years.

At the forefront of this growth has been Michael Schneider, who has been around to witness almost every bump and turn along this slow journey to success.

InfraStrategies LLC is pleased to announce that Carolyn Flowers, former Acting Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration under President Obama, has become a partner and managing principal of the firm, joining current principals Jeff Boothe, Sharon Greene, Jeff Morales and Mike Schneider.

Flowers joins the InfraStrategies team following an exceptionally accomplished career and will be based in the firm’s Southern California office.
