Former FTA Administrator Joins InfraStrategies
Carolyn Flowers becomes a Principal in the Infrastructure Advisory Firm InfraStrategies

InfraStrategies LLC is pleased to announce that Carolyn Flowers, former Acting Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration under President Obama, has become a partner and managing principal of the firm, joining current principals Jeff Boothe, Sharon Greene, Jeff Morales and Mike Schneider. InfraStrategies is focused on developing creative and credible solutions for infrastructure programs and projects, with special emphasis on project funding and financing and a focus on realistic and sustainable pathways to success for transportation and infrastructure development.
Flowers joins the InfraStrategies team following an exceptionally accomplished career and will be based in the firm’s Southern California office. Flowers began her professional journey as a financial specialist in the technology sector after earning an MBA at the University of California. She then moved to the public sector, spending almost 20 years with Los Angeles Metro and serving as Executive Officer of Administration and completing her tenure as Metro’s Chief Operating Officer. Flowers was appointed Public Transit Director and CEO for the Charlotte Area Transit System before accepting the appointment by President Obama to serve as Acting FTA Administrator. Since leaving government service, Flowers has been in the engineering and consulting space with private industry, providing advisory services to variety of governmental and private sector clients.
