InfraStrategies Selected As Capacity Builder for USDOT FY 2022 Thriving Communities Program
InfraStrategies - in partnership with MZC Foundation, Inc. (Lead), Arcadis, and Beverly Scott Associates - has been selected by the USDOT as one of four national capacity builders to support 64 communities in 42 states, including 6 Tribal Nations, and Puerto Rico. Our team was selected to lead the Networked Communities practice area, with a total of $5.1 million awarded to support 15 communities across the nation in all stages of the transportation decision-making process, including pre-construction, procurement and contract administration, and construction and operations. Our team's approach centers on equity, community leadership, and workforce development to ensure long-lasting, community-driven transportation solutions. The 15 selected communities for the Networked Communities practice are shown in pink in the map below.
InfraStrategies is thrilled to support this critical program. Our team's planning, technical assistance, and capacity building support will enable disadvantaged and under-resourced communities to advance a pipeline of transportation infrastructure projects that will increase mobility, reduce pollution, and expand affordable transportation options, connecting communities to the essential opportunities and resources that will help them thrive.
