VIA Hosts Site Visit with USDOT Build America Bureau

On March 30th, VIA hosted a productive site visit and tour of several projects from the voter approved Keep San Antonio Moving (KSAM) program. InfraStrategies Managing Principals Amanda Vandegrift and Sophie Guiny joined VIA team members and representatives from the USDOT Build America Bureau on a tour of the Advanced Rapid Transit (ART) Green Line and ART Silver Line corridors. The projects are currently navigating the New Starts and Small Starts categories of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Capital Investment Grant (CIG) Program. The group also toured VIA's current operations and maintenance facility, which is over 75 years old. An important piece of the KSAM program includes a new operations and maintenance facility to support VIA operations and maintenance into the future. USDOT TIFIA Loans are proposed for two of the KSAM projects.
