InfraStrategies LLC is pleased to announce that Sophie Guiny has joined the firm as Principal Consultant specializing in the development of project funding and finance solutions for transportation infrastructure projects. Guiny is welcomed by a team of professionals focused on developing solutions for infrastructure programs and projects, with an emphasis on objective and sustainable pathways to success for transportation and infrastructure development.

Guiny joins the InfraStrategies team as an exceptionally accomplished transportation infrastructure funding and financing expert and will be based in the Washington, D.C. office. She brings 15 years of experience advising a range of public and private clients on capital planning, public-private partnerships, federal sources of funding and financing including projects requiring complex financing structures and funding. Sophie successfully led projects and managed programs in public transit, high-speed and passenger rail, highways and toll facilities.

Prior to joining InfraStrategies, Sophie worked for Transurban, and for Booz Allen Hamilton, where she served as practice lead for transportation finance and economics and co-practice lead for rail and transit. Her clients included several USDOT modal agencies and the TIFIA credit program. 

 

Guiny holds an M.A. in International Economics and an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University, and an M.A. from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. She is a member of the Transportation Research Board’s Revenue and Finance committee and has served for several years on the board of the Washington, DC chapter of WTS.
